These are just a few of the ways The Lone Star Ramblers have been
described by newspapers, magazines, and tabloids.
When Dave Stanley was asked how he would describe The Ramblers, he said:
"It's simply a comedy, country, rock and roll, jazz ensemble with a squeeze
of lime on the side, and when you stir it up it becomes Texas-American Music known
as The Lone Star Ramblers."
The Ramblers members are:
- Ken "Nardo" Murray on "The Rambling Machine Mark V"
- Dave Stanley on string bass and vocals
- Larry Stanley on guitars and vocals.
Since all of The Ramblers' musical equipment is on wheels, the group easily moves
from concert stages to street entertainment to any kind of special event.
AND WHAT A SHOW...
Nardo, and his invention, "The Rambling Machine Mark V", has over
2,000 sounds and gadgets including drums, horns, whistles, bells, bubbles, explosions, battery
operated P.A., drum machine and sound effects.
Dave, singing and twirling his American Redwood Bull Bass with the greatest
of ease.
Larry, amazing the audiences when he plays his "Texas" guitar over his head,
behind his back, and even with his teeth.

The Lone Star Ramblers were a featured act at Dollywood,
Dolly Parton's theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, for nine years, (1988 thru 1996). They can be seen with Dolly Parton on
national television in the Dollywood commercials, a TNN special, Sunset Music Festival with The Oak Ridge Boys, and also appeared with the group, Sawyer
Brown on their music video of "The Race Is On".
Any way you describe this three man team, it adds up to over 100 years of musical, comedic, and
theatrical experience. The Ramblers always leave their audiences with memories of a good time and smiles
on their faces.
